Hunters Hill Council uses every drop

Hunters Hill Council used the Gladesville Road Community Centre refurbishment to demonstrate simple water saving devices and improve stormwater management.

Our storage system, which is also connected to toilet cisterns, has reduced the mains water demand by 26%. In addition, 100% of the rain that falls on the roof is used on-site as rain overflow is directed by a stormwater diffuser into the garden soil.

Independent costing of the gutter system installation has confirmed that the council saved between 5% and 27% against the installation cost of traditional guttering plus an equivalent-sized rainwater tank.

It’s a typical rainy night. You live in a 300sqm house. 5mm of rain falls, and from that rainfall you collect 1500 litres of water in your Rainsaver Storage Gutters. Rainsaver saves ALL the rain that falls on the roof and then stores it ready to be used.

When RAINSAVER Storage Gutters are at capacity, overflow is directed through drip irrigation to selected parts of the property... not a drop is wasted down the stormwater drains.
